Broncos 10, Giants 9: Second-half open thread

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants trail the Denver Broncos, 10-9, at halftime of Manning Bowl III. Use this as your second-half open thread.

The Giants led 3-0 after one quarter on a 36-yard field goal by Josh Brown. That was set up by a 51-yard pass from Eli Manning to Victor Cruz on the Giants' first offensive play.

Denver took a 7-3 lead with 14:22 left in the second quarter when Knowshon Moreno capped a brief four-play, 48-yard drive with a 20-yard run around right end for a touchdown. The Giants closed to within 7-6 on a 24-yard field goal by Josh Brown with 6:53 left in the half. The Giants took a 9-7 lead with 2:19 left in the half on a 41-yard field goal by Brown. The Broncos regained the lead with 52 second left on a 42-yard field goal by Mike Prater.

Eli Manning completed 11-of-21 passes for 180 yards. Eli was picked off in the Denver end zone on a pass for Nicks with nine seconds left in the half. Peyton Manning finished the half 18-of-29 for 200 yards. He became the third quarterback in NFL history to surpass 60,000 yards passing, joining Dan Marino and Brett Favre.
