The New York Giants are 22-1 to win the 2014 Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium, according to odds released on Monday by Bovada.
With the game being played at the Giants home stadium, the Giants have made the Super Bowl central to everything they do. They have even gone so far as to install a Super Bowl countdown clock in the locker room. No team has ever played in the Super Bowl in their home stadium, and the Giants have talked incessantly about wanting to be the first team to accomplish that feat.
The Giants have won two Super Bowls during the Tom Coughlin/Eli Manning era, but have missed the playoffs in three of the past four seasons.
Bovada also listed the Giants as NFC East favorites, with 2-1 odds. The Washington Redskins are 5-2.
The Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers are 6-1 co-favorites to win the Super Bow, per Bovada. The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks are 9-1, the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers 12-1 and the New Orleans Saints and Houston Texans 18-1.
