There is a little more than one hour to go before the 6 p.m. ET deadline at which time NFL teams have to reduece their rosters from 75 to 53 players. Here is exactly what we know right now in terms of players dropped from the roster:
1. Will Hill (reserve/suspended -- four week suspension)
2. Matt Broha
3. Stephen Goodin
4. Ramses Barden
5. David Caldwell
6. Tyler Sash
7. Matt McCants
8. Charles James
9. Terrence Frederick
The Sash cut is the one that surprised me thus far, simply because the Giants are so thin at the position. I would have thought they would have kept Caldwell if they were cutting Sash.
Also, there are rumors floating around Twitter that the Giants are trying to trade defensive tackle Marvin Austin. By my count the Giants still have to make 13 more moves to reach the 53-man limit.
News should come fast and furious, and the last hour should be very interesting.
