The New York Giants have once again shuffled their offensive line. The new configuration the team unveiled during Monday's practice at Quest Diagnostics Training Center featured Kevin Boothe at center and James Brewer at left guard. Jim Cordle, who struggled in a starting role Saturday against the New York Jets was back with the second unit.
Jason Pierre-Paul practices
Pierre-Paul, removed from the PUP list earlier in the day, did some individual drills during Monday's practice.
"I’m taking it day by day and that’s all I can do. I’m not trying to rush. A back is a serious thing, a back surgery is a serious thing and you can’t try to come back too early, you’ll mess it up even more," Pierre-Paul said.
Injury Notes
The only Giants who did not practice were Louis Murphy (leg), David Diehl (thumb surgery), David Baas (knee) and Markus Kuhn (PUP, knee).
There were reports on Twitter that wide receiver Victor Cruz has shed the crutches and walking boot. Coughlin would only say after practice that Cruz is "getting better."
Final preseason game
Coughlin said he is "strongly inclined" to play the team's starters Thursday vs. the New England Patriots.
