From the New York Giants' perspective, the first half of their Sunday night preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts really wasn't very good.
There were four trips into the Indianapolis red zone, resulting in three field goals, a turnover on downs and a Tom Coughlin unsportsmanlike conduct penalty -- probably for running out on the field.
There were injuries to Victor Cruz and David Baas, neither of which appears to be serious according to initial reports. Cruz has a bruised heel and Baas a sprained knee.
There was also a comical Indianapolis touchdown when Aaron Ross should have had an interception, but botched it and wound up tapping the ball into the hands of Reggie Wayne for a 28-yard score.
Eli Manning finished his night 8-of-17 for 91 yards and one touchdown. Hakeem Nicks has two catches for 40 yards and Ramses Barden three for 21.
First-round pick Justin Pugh made his debut at left tackle late in the first half.
