Time For Some Fantasy Football at Big Blue View

The leagues are set up and all we need are some loyal Big Blue View supporters to join in the the fantasy football fun.

[Note by Ed Valentine, 08/13/13 5:43 PM EDT: Our leagues are filled at this point. If you asked to participate and did not get in, we thank you for your interest. Good luck to all of the participants!]

The fantasy football season is almost upon us, and I know there are quite a few of you out there who are interested in testing your fantasy skills against others in our great community.  The leagues have been set up over at our tremendous sponsor site, Yahoo! Sports, and are just waiting to be filled with the best and the brightest fantasy football minds from the BBV community.

This year we will be running two official leagues on Yahoo's Fantasy Football platform. They will compete from Week 1 though Week 16 of the NFL season.  Both leagues will be 10-team leagues with the starting rosters consisting of 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1K, 1D/ST and six bench spots. Both leagues will be .5 PPR (point per reception) leagues and all the other league rules and settings will be available when you join the league.

I have not decided if we will have an "Ultimate Champion" that would play on week 17, but I may be persuaded by a league vote after both leagues have been filled.

Leagues

Big Blue View League 1 will draft August 29th at 7:30 p.m.

Big Blue View League 2 will draft August 30th at 7:30 p.m.

If you are going to commit to joining one of these leagues please make sure that you are free on the date and time of the league draft you are signing up for.  You should also check to make sure your computer is compatible with the draft software so there aren't any problems on draft day.  I do not want any auto-drafters in these leagues because the draft should be one of the highlights of the fantasy football year.

After you've checked your calendar e-mail BigBlueView@gmail.com and specify what league you are interested in joining. We will end up with more requests to join than we have available slots. So, once you get an e-mail back from me with the league ID don't waste time joining.

[Note by Ed Valentine Our Fantasy Football guru, Dennis Esser, will be running both of these leagues. If you get shut out, feel free to set up 'overflow' leagues of your own. Those won't fly under the 'official' BBV banner.]
