New York Giants middle linebacker Dan Connor was arrested Saturday at the Philadelphia International Aiport and cited on a weapons possession charge for allegedly carring a switchblade inside his luggage.
Connor was signed by the Giants during the offseason after he spent 2012 with the Dallas Cowboys. He is competing with Mark Herzlich for the starting middle linebacker job.
Rotoworld said Connor was released on his own recognizance and is not expected to face any discipline from the NFL.
Other Giants Links
Giants' rookie first-round pick Justin Pugh and fourth-round pick Ryan Nassib are among the small percentage of rookies who remain unsigned. SNY Giants explains that other signings have now set the parameters for a Pugh contract.
The always-informative Pat Traina has a look at the offensive line heading into training camp. Pat seems concerned about the health of starting center David Baas, who had multiple offseason surgeries and did not participate in any of the offseason practices. She wonders if the Giants might "add a veteran to this group."
