Let's continue our player-by-player look at the 90-man roster the New York Giants will bring to training camp later this month at the Timex Performance Center. Here we look at Jeremy Horne, a fringe wide receiver trying to make it with the Giants after being out of the NFL a season ago.
2012 Season In Review
Horne was waived by the Kansas City Chiefs at the end of training camp last season and from what I can find did not hook on anywhere else. He played nine games for the Chiefs in 2010 and three in 2011 without catching a pass. He did rush once for 5 yards in 2011.
2013 Outlook
Horne, an Albany, N.Y. native, was signed as a free agent by the Giants in May. Horne is a 6-foot-2, 193-pound receiver who played for a year at Syracuse and three years at UMass, catching 84 passes for 1,338 yards (15.9 avg.) with 11 TDs. Horne is likely competing with Ramses Barden and Brandon Collins for the final wide receiver spot.
