Victor Cruz has taken to Twitter to emphatically deny reports that he is looking to do a reality TV show about himself.
This is truly God testing me for something much bigger. Never EVER doing a reality show. Nor am I in talks for one. #NYmediaboredom
— Victor Cruz (@TeamVic) June 3, 2013
That flies in the face of the quotes that were in the New York Daily News earlier on Monday. Here is some of what the Daily News quoted Cruz as saying:
"It is going to be something that is very unique to me and very unique to what I like, and like to do," he said.
"I definitely want it to be my show," he said. "My own thing, something that I can contribute to and something I like to do, I can be comfortable with, and an easy show, something people like to watch and that people can be in tune with on a daily basis."
Giants' fans would greet this news warmly if indeed Cruz has no intention of becoming a reality TV star.
Here are some of the fan reactions from our earlier report on Cruz:
Oh, my God. Not good.

Cruz seems a little to satisfied with himself
usually when players start worrying about realty TV shows their play suffers. I have a feeling we are going to go in another direcion and say thanks for the memories. Of course we wil look silly but is Victor still a football player or is he interested in being a celebrity.

This is awful news. A lot of people might think our horror at this new is a ridiculous over reaction. But I think the fact that he's letting these fairy tale spinners from the entertainment industry whisper sweet nothings in his ear while they make a quick buck off his fame and divert his attention to his real job shows a serious lack of judgement after two years of success.
Please Victor, no. Just walk away from this now.

There are a lot more like this, but you get the point. Folks around these parts believe Cruz would be wise to stick to football.
