Let's continue our look at the 90-man roster the New York Giants will bring to training camp by focusing on one of the players competing for a job as a reserve cornerback -- Terrence Frederick.
2012 Season In Review
Frederick was a seventh-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012, but was released at the end of the preseason. The Giants signed him to their active roster on Dec. 26 and he appeared in the final two games of the season, making two tackles.
2013 Outlook
Frederick is in the mix for one of the reserve cornerback slots. He is a 5-foot-10, 187-pound 23-year-old who is better in zone than man-to-man per NFL.com and has extensive experience playing in the slot. The health of Terrell Thomas and the play of others in the mix at corner like UDFA Charles James and Laron Scott, who spent last season with the Giants on the practice squad, could impact Frederick's future.
