Linebacker Desmond Bishop will not be joining the New York Giants. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that the former Green Bay Packers linebacker will join the Minnesota Vikings.

The Giants, along with the Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs, had been considered finalists for the services of the 28-year-old. See SB Nation's Daily Norseman for the Minnesota viewpoint on the signing.
Bishop missed all of last season with a serious hamstring injury. In New York, he likely would have competed with Mark Herzlich and Dan Connor for the middle linebacker job.
The Giants have continued to try to upgrade their roster as training camp approaches. They have added linebackers Aaron Curry and Kyle Bosworth, and still apparently have interest in free-agent fullback Vonta Leach.
