Good morning, New York Giants' fans! Here are your Saturday morning links.

The Giants are apparently still in the running for Desmond Bishop, the former Green Bay Packers linebacker. At least, that was the latest word from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Art Stapleton of The Record has a really nice piece on Giants' defensive tackle Marvin Austin. Stapleton's post deals mostly with a musical endeavor Austin is involved with away from football. Austin, however, does also acknowledge while talking to Stapleton that he has much to prove on the field, where the Giants have added several players at his position.

Austin is preparing for the competition looming this summer when the 2010 second-round pick will find himself fighting for a roster spot at defensive tackle. The Giants brought in veterans such as Cullen Jenkins and drafted Johnathan Hankins in the second round to solidify that position, putting even more pressure on Austin to prove his worth on the field.

"You see the competition. It is what it is, and I’m trying to make this team just like everybody else," Austin said. "I feel like, to the organization, I’ve got to show them what I can do. I haven’t shown them anything yet. I’ve been in the training room too much. Some things don’t have to be said. At the end of the day, I’m glad to have the competition.

"It’s just going to make me a better player."
