Good morning, New York Giants' fans! Here are your Thursday morning links.

Nicks, who was making a promotional appearance for Procter & Gamble in Herald Square as part of a new marketing deal with the company, was asked if his goal ultimately is to retire a Giant.

"I really can’t speak for my whole career," Nicks said. "I enjoy being a Giant right now. I’m going to take care of what I can take care of as long as I’m a Giant, but I do understand the business side of football, too."

Nicks attended Big Blue’s mandatory mini-camp last week and said his OTAs absence wasn’t about frustration with his contract, as had been widely speculated. "At the end of the day, there’s stuff that’s mandatory and there’s things that are not mandatory," he said. "From my eyes, anytime you can let your body rest [is good]. Football is a physical sport, and it’s a long season, too. Anytime you can let your body rest, I feel like that’s always a blessing."

"The contract definitely wasn’t an issue, man," Nicks told Boomer & Carton. "I was there when I was supposed to be there — I was there for the minicamp. So that’s what I looked forward to doing, and I was there with my teammates at that time when it mattered. As far as speaking about the past, I really don’t bring it up. I just decided that I had to take care of some things that I needed to take care of."

Dave Jennings Tributes

Late Dave Jennings was always true to himself, right up until his death - NY Daily News
Perspective was Dave Jennings’ shadow. It followed him around. When word of his death came down Wednesday morning, there was sadness but also the realization that the only perspective available would come from within — somewhere inside your own heart.

The passing of Dave saddened me deeply. We lost a fine all-time Giant and a wonderful broadcaster. I lost a former co-worker and a man I was honored to call a friend.

Dave Jennings, a prisoner of Parkinson's disease, remembered as an unlikely Giant - NY Daily News
He was a punter out of St. Lawrence University and maybe there have been more unlikely great Giants than Dave Jennings, but it is hard to think of one today, the day when we get the news that Jennings is dead, much too soon, at the age of 61.
