Good morning, New York Giants' fans! Here is your Wednesday morning notebook.

Giants punter Steve Weatherford played for the New York Jets before joining the Giants, and has never had nice things to say about Jets special teams coach Mike Westhoff. That continued in an answer to a question from NJ.com.

What has your stay with the Giants been like compared to the Jets?

Weatherford: It's been a dream come true. I enjoyed playing for Rex Ryan but the special teams coach (Mike Westhoff) was very difficult to get along with both on and off the field. Here, the Giants have treated me great since the moment I walked in here. I show up early and leave late and give everything I have. I think the Giants have an appreciation for that. I absolutely love being here. I'd play for free.

We don't do politics here at Big Blue View, and that isn't going to change. If you aren't a fan of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, however, you now have a Giants-related reason.

Christie was asked what teams he roots for and he mentioned the Knicks, Mets and Rangers.

"Now the last answer is one of the things that gets all of my political advisers nervous," Christie said. "My favorite football team is not the New York Giants."

That caused a loud stir in the assembly.

"It is not the New York Jets ... and it is not the Philadelphia Eagles," Christie continued. "Get ready now. My favorite football team are the Dallas Cowboys ... which by the way is not the smartest thing for the Governor of New Jersey to want to be is a fan of the Dallas Cowboys."
