Have you voted for your New York Giants choices yet in the Pro Football Talk Mt. Rushmore series? Don't know what I'm talking about? Let me explain.
The folks at PFT recently asked for nominations each NFL team's Mt. Rushmore. The list of 12 finalists, gathered via fan nominations, has now been released and PFT is asking for fans to vote for the four people they would put on the Giants Mt. Rushmore.
PFT's nominees:
- Mark Bavaro
- Rosey Brown
- Harry Carson
- Tom Coughlin
- Frank Gifford
- Sam Huff
- Eli Manning
- Wellington Mara
- Bill Parcells
- Phil Simms
- Michael Strahan
- Lawrence Taylor
I won't ask you to vote here -- do that at PFT. It's a fun exercise, so be sure to vote cast your ballot. Feel free, however, to let us know your choices. This is anything but easy, but personally I have to go with Taylor, Strahan, Mara and Manning. I think Taylor and Mara are no-brainers, Strahan is close to that and Manning gets the fourth spot because he is the best quarterback in franchise history. I'm especially curious to hear if any of the old-timers want to make cases for Huff or Gifford.
