Lots of Inter-Google chatter today about possible movement in the contract negotiations between wide receiver Victor Cruz and the New York Giants. It does not appear, however, that there is really anything new to report.
This from Mike Garafolo of USA Today:
FYI - talks are ongoing but status quo on the Cruz front. Nothing imminent. Per someone kept abreast of such things.

That differs somewhat from a report earlier by Pat Traina that she is hearing "Cruz is "getting close" on getting his deal done and that "he is ready."
The Giants hold their first on-field offseason training activities May 22 and 23. If he isn't there that would be the first significant offseason work missed by Cruz. Quarterback Eli Manning told the New York Post Monday night that he hopes that does not happen.
"I think hopefully we get into some real practices so hopefully as we get kind of into those live, going against a defense practices he’ll get back in so we can get back to work,’’ Manning said.
