Victor Cruz's uncertain Giants future 'a little frustrating' to Tom Coughlin | NJ.com

Coughlin admitted the uncertainty around Cruz's Giants future is difficult for a coach.

"I like to think that I can control everything, and that I can have something to do with making sure that something gets done that I think would be beneficial to everyone," Coughlin said today, before a book signing at the Fifth Avenue Barnes & Noble. "And certainly I believe that about Victor. We want Victor to be a Giant until the end of his career, but obviously he and his people, his agents, they’ve got to make that call. It’s a little bit frustrating in that you’d like to have it done, that’s all."

Coughlin steers clear of money issues, but said he wants both players to return for the 2013 season.

"I do,’’ Coughlin yesterday told The Post before a signing at Barnes and Noble on Fifth Avenue for "Earn The Right To Win,’’ his new book. "I think there’s no doubt they can definitely help the team. I do want them back. They can still contribute.’’
