Ahmad Bradshaw Free Agency Rumors: Running back says Jets among interested teams

A market is beginning to take shape for free-agent running back Ahmad Bradshaw. He says the New York Jets are one of his potential landing spots.

Nary a word has been uttered about Ahmad Bradshaw in NFL Free Agency up to this point. But, a market appears to be developing for the bum-footed former New York Giants' running back.

"I feel great," he said on ESPN New York 98.7. "I'm getting there. I'm walking around without the boot. There are a lot of teams out there that need running backs.

"I want to go to a team where I can be the number one (back) and get multiple carries every game," he added. "A couple of teams are interested. ... Pittsburgh, the Jets, the Packers, which are all teams that I feel like need a running back and I can help. It's a process and I want to take it slow."

The oft-injured Bradshaw is recovering this off-season from yet another foot surgery after finishing 2012 with a broken bone in his foot.

Bradshaw, who just turned 27 on Tuesday, gained 1,015 yards rushing last season -- the second 1,000-yard season of his career. Talent has never been the issue for Bradshaw. The issue is the health of his troublesome feet.

He told ESPN Radio NY that returning to the Giants is still a possibility. "There's always been that chance," he said.

Putting aside sentimentality, a Bradshaw return to the Giants is something I just don't see happening unless he -- somehow -- still does not have a job in August and a Giants' running back suffers an injury in training camp.
