Martellus Bennett, who had said he was not "feeling the love" from the Giants, wasted no time in free agency. He will join the Chicago Bears.

After having a career-best season in 2012 with the New York Giants, Martellus Bennett is moving on. The 26-year-old tight end has agreed in principal to a contract with the Chicago Bears.

Bennett came to the Giants a season ago after four undistinguished seasons backing up Jason Witten with the Dallas Cowboys. He fished second on the Giants with a career-best 55 catches for 626 yards and five touchdowns.

Bennett is a player the Giants seemed to want back, but obviously they weren't willing to spend a lot of money to do it.

The only experienced tight end on the current roster is veteran blocking tight end Bear Pascoe. The Giants drafted Adrien Robinson in the fourth round in 2012, but he was rarely activated during the season. What will the Giants do at tight end? will they go with Pascoe and Robinson. hoping Robinson will grow into the starting job? Will they turn to free agency for at least a stop-gap replacement? One potential replacement, Anthony Fasano, has already agreed to a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. Will they look for a new tight end in the 2012 NFL Draft? Perhaps this makes all of those Tyler Eifert to the Giants mock drafts more realistic.
