Sunday Afternoon Open Thread

Discuss pretty much anything you want within the world of sports on the first Sunday of the NFL off-season without football of any kind.

It's a lazy Sunday afternoon -- the first of a loooon off-season with absolutely no football to watch. I know you have a 'honey-do' list a mile long, and I know you want to avoid it.

Here's an open thread for you to discuss pretty much whatever you want to in the world of sports. Spring training starts in a couple of days and there is NBA, NHL and college hoop action to talk about.

There is also this -- a proposal from a New York politician who wants to ban Pop Warner football.

“I want to protect the children,” Benedetto, a Democrat, told the Daily News on Friday. “I want them to get an appreciation of the game but I also don’t want them to come out of this wonderful sport in a damaged condition.”

I don't know about you guys, but I think that is going way too far. Get better education for youth coaches and better, safer equipment for the young players. Don't, however, take the option of playing away from anyone who wants it.
