Victor Cruz underwent an arthroscopic knee debridement Thursday that will end his season, the team announced. Dr. James Andrews performed the procedure went Cruz sought a second opinion from him Thursday on the severity of his knee injury.
Recover for knee debridement is usually 3-4 weeks. It wouldn't be a season-ender for Cruz but for the fact that, well, the season is ending.

Cruz ends the season with 998 receiving yards, two shy of his third straight 1,000-yard season.
Cruz was also battling concussion symptoms but has gone through the NFL protocol and been cleared.
The Giants face the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Jerrel Jernigan, who caught a career-high seven passes vs. the Seattle Seahawks last week, should be the beneficiary of added playing time with Cruz done for the final two games. Louis Murphy could also see additional snaps as the Giants' fourth receiver.
