As if the New York Giants' awful offense needed any more bad news, wide receiver Victor Cruz left Sunday's game vs. the Seattle Seahwks in the third quarter with a possible concussion.
Cruz was injured when he landed awkwardly while leaping to try to make a catch.
To add insult to injury, Cruz was originally awarded the catch. Seattle head coach Pete Carroll challenged, however, and the play was overturned. That forced the Giants to punt.
Cruz has 998 yards receiving, just two yards shy of his third consecutive 1,000-yard receiving season. Sunday, Cruz has two catches for 25 yards. The two catches give him 73 for the season.
Giants' offensive guard James Brewer also left the game in the third quarter with an ankle injury. He was replaced by Brandon Mosley.
The Giants are in the process of being routed by the Seahawks, trailing, 23-0, with 12:21 left in the game.
