Jason Pierre-Paul, who played through a shoulder stinger Sunday vs. the Oakland Raiders, did not practice today and said he is not sure he will be available for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.

"I don't know if I'm going to play Sunday. I don't. That's the honest answer," Pierre-Paul said. "It just hurts, that's all. I can't be giving you too much information. You know what I mean? My shoulder just hurts guys, that's it. Who knows if I'm going to play Sunday, I don't know yet. I'm taking it day by day and that's it."

JPP's absence would be terrible news for the Giants. Pierre-Paul, still working his way back following offseason back surgery, looked more explosive vs. the Raiders than he had at any time during the first eight games of the season. He registered a sack, only his second of the season, and was noticeably active.

Head coach Tom Coughlin said he "would hope" Pierre-Paul would be able to practice on Thursday. Pierre-Paul said that won't be the case.

"I won't be ready tomorrow," he said.

Without Pierre-Paul on Sunday, Mathias Kiwanuka would likely get the start and rookie Damontre Moore would be in line for increased playing time.

Pierre-Paul was one of five Giants who did not practice Wednesday. Here is the full list:

Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder)

Brandon Jacobs (hamstring/knee)

Corey Webster (groin/ankle)

Bear Pascoe (ankle)

Terrell Thomas (knee)
