The New York Giants (3-6) open the week as 6-point favorites to win their fourth straight game as the team hosts the Green Bay Packers (5-4) at MetLife Stadium Sunday.

Most teams that start off 0-6 can forget about any shot to make the playoffs, but after three victories in a row the Giants sit within striking distance of the 5-5 Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys in a weak NFC East division. At almost the midway point of the year, the Packers were 5-2 and looked like one of the best teams in football, but then former NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers got injured.
The Giants are coming off a 24-20 win at home against the Oakland Raiders in a game where they finally seemed to establish a consistent running game led by Andre Brown, who ran for more than 100 yards and a touchdown in his first game back from injury. The Packers are coming off a loss to the Eagles in which the team's backup quarterback, Seneca Wallace, got injured in the first quarter and was replaced by third string quarterback Scott Tolzien, who will start this week.
The Big Blue View Power Rankings show the Giants continue to rise, going from being ranked no. 22 last week to moving into the teens at no. 18, but the team still looks up to the Packers ranked at no. 10. SB Nation's version of the rankings has both teams ranked much lower than that, with the Packers and Giants ranked at no. 17 and no. 23 respectively.
