Giants at Bears Odds: Giants open as 7.5-point underdogs

0-5 Giants heavy underdogs in Thursday Night Football game vs. Bears.

The New York Giants (0-5) open the week as 7.5-point underdogs to the Chicago Bears (3-2) in a match-up taking place on Thursday Night Football at Soldier Field in Chicago.

The Giants obviously have been a major disappointment this year, having gone from a team that won a Super Bowl less than two years ago to a team that has not won a football game in the middle of October. Yet, in a weak NFC East, they are only two games out of first place, giving their season some life. The Bears have been very hot and cold this season, just like they were last season, winning their first three followed by two straight losses. They still hold a tie for first with the 3-2 Detroit Lions with the 2-2 Packers only a half-game back.

The Giants are coming off a home loss to their NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles, yet another disappointing loss in a disappointing season. The Bears lost at home to the team with the best record in the NFC, the New Orleans Saints.

The Big Blue View Power Rankings have the Bears ranked significantly ahead of the Giants, with the Bears at No.11 and the Giants all the way down at No. 30. SB Nation's version of the rankings has both teams ranked in the same spot as the Big Blue View Rankings.
