Former Stony Brook star running back Miguel Maysonet was one of 20 players who reportedly worked out for the New York Giants this week. Maysonet, who went undrafted, has already been signed and released by five NFL organizations. He most recently spent time on the practice squad of the New York Jets.
In addition to Maysonet, here are the players the Giants worked out:
Cam White (RB), Keiland Williams (RB), Kendall Gaskins (RB), Preston Parker (WR), Danny Coale (WR), Reggie Dunn (WR), Kendrick Adams (DE), Jerrod Johnson (QB), B.J. Coleman (QB), Colin Anderson (TE), Bryce Davis (TE), Kevin Kowalski (C), Brandon McManus (PK), Patrick Murray (PK), Eric Olsen (G), Willie Smith (OT), Trevin Wade (DB), Lawrence Wilson (LB), Brad Wing (P).
That's a pretty non-descript group. Williams has three years and 35 games of NFL experience.
Also, wide receiver Jeremy Horne, with the Giants during training camp before being injured, sent out a tweet today that made it sound as if he has joined the Giants' practice squad.
