Giants' Thursday Injury Report: Corey Webster back on sidelines

Corey Webster practiced Wednesday, but missed practice Thursday.

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

After practicing Wednesday New York Giants' cornerback Corey Webster, who missed the past two games with a hip injury, was unable to practice on Thursday. Webster is now listed as having a groin injury.

Here is the Giants' complete injury report from Thursday.

Did Not Practice
C David Baas (neck)
CB Jayron Hosley (hamstring)
DT Cullen Jenkins (knee/achilles)
DT Linval Joseph (ankle/knee)
TE Adrien Robinson (foot)
CB Aaron Ross (back)
G Chris Snee (hip)
CB Corey Webster (groin)

Limited Practice
DT Shaun Rogers (back)
LB Mark Herzlich (toe)
CB Terrell Thomas (knee)

Offensive lineman David Diehl, out all season thus far following thumb surgery, is not on the report. Could that mean Diehl will step into the lineup, mostl likely for either Jim Cordle or James Brewer?

The injuries to Jenkins, Joseph and Rogers could mean the first action of the season on Sunday for second-round pick Johnathan Hankins.

If Ross, Webster and Hosley are unable to go veteran Trumaine McBride would step in. The Giants would possibly have to make a roster move as well, which could be adding cornerback Charles James from the practice squad.
