Running back Brandon Jacobs will not play Sunday for the New York Giants when they face the Philadelphia Eagles. Jacobs has officially been listed as inactive due to his hamstring injury, meaning Peyton Hillis and Michael cox will once again handle the running back duties.
In addition to Jacobs, defensive tackle Shaun Rogers (knee), cornerback Jayron Hosley (hamstring), tight end Adrien Robinson (foot), running back David Wilson (neck), quarterback Ryan Nassib and offensive lineman Dallas Reynolds are inactive. Reynolds was just added to the roster this week.
Without Rogers, second-round draft pick Johnathan Hankins will get an opportunity to join the defensive tackle rotation.
Cornerback Corey Webster, who has not played since Week 2 due to a groin injury, is active. No word on whether Webster, Trumaine McBride or Terrell Thomas will start at the corner opposite Prince Amukamara.
This will mark two straight games Jacobs has missed since being injured during his 22-carry, 106-yard performance against the Chicago Bears.
