2014 NFL Draft: Jadeveon Clowney among today's prospects to watch

A look at some of the 2014 NFL Draft prospects who are in action Saturday.

In today's 2014 NFL Draft prospect watch we will look at a couple more games as the New York Giants season continues to chug along with a losing record and a top 10 draft pick (currently they would pick third), though hopefully the Giants can go on a run here and we'll see what happens.

Tennessee Vols at Alabama Crimson Tide

I don't think anyone would be surprised to know that the Crimson Tide have a few players who look like first-round draft picks right now (and then a host of other players who will likely be drafted). The Crimson Tide also have players at two positions the Giants need help at in linebacker C.J. Mosley and offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio. Hopefully the Giants have watched the impacts young talented linebackers Luke Kuechly and Kiko Alonso have made for the Panthers and Bills respectively and will consider Mosley if they win a few more games and are picking between 8-14. Mosley is fast, instinctive, and a good tackler. Kouandijo is a 6-foot-5 310-pound powerful linemen who hasn't had quite the season people were expecting out of him yet, but still is a first-round pick. The best draft prospect safety plays for the Crimson TIde and that is Hasean "Ha-Ha" Clinton-Dix. Offensive linemen Anthony Steen, linebacker Adrian Hubbard, and cornerback Deion Belue.

The Vols prospect to watch is offensive lineman Antonio Richardson who is projected as a first-round pick at the moment. Richardson is 6-6, 327 pounds. The Vols also have a linebacker, A.J. Johnson, who is projected to be an early day two pick.

South Carolina Gamecocks at Missouri Tigers

Missouri is a good team currently ranked 5th in the nation, but they are surprisingly lackluster on 2014 NFL draft prospects. The best one is probably defensive linemen Michael Sam who has had a few monster games this year. He has 9 sacks this year which have all come in the last four weeks, three games of three sacks and one game with none. MIssouri has two legitimate NFL prospects at wide receiver in L'Damian Washington and Marcus Lucas, both of whom are listed at 6-4. Senior cornerback E.J. Gaines could be an early day three pick.

For the Gamecocks it is all about Jadeveon Clowney. Clowney is projected as a top three pick at the moment and is the best defensive end prospect since Julius Peppers.
