The New York Giants (0-4) host the 1-3 Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, with the Giants desperately in need of a victory. The Giants have not started a non-strike season 0-5 since 1979. The Giants are actually favored by three points in the opening line, the first time all season the Giants have been a betting favorite.
"This is a 12-game season for us at this point, nothing that has taken place matters. The guys just have to believe again, we have to get that good feeling again as far as winning," Antrel Rolle said.
This will be the first time the Giants have faced the Eagles since Chip Kelly took over as coach there. The fast-paced Philadelphia defense will test the Giants' revamped defensive line, which includes former Eagles Cullen Jenkins and Mike Patterson
The Giants will likely continue to be without center David Baas and guard Chris Snee. Snee, in fact, could be facing season-ending hip surgery. Injury reports for this week will begin coming out on Wednesday.
Eagles' fans are worried about their defense, which has surrendered 34.5 points per game and is last in the league in yards per game, allowing 446.8. If the giants, who have scored only seven points in their last two games, are ever going to get their struggling offense kick-started this might be the week.
Notes
