New York Giants' roster moves: Da'Rel Scott waived/injured

Scott was injured vs. the Bears. The Giants worked out running backs on Tuesday.

With a plethora of running backs having worked out for the New York Giants on Tuesday, the team today waived/injured running Da'Rel Scott, who suffered a hamstring injury Thursday night against the Chicago Bears.

Scott had been released the week prior to the Chicago game and re-signed due to the neck injury sustained by David Wilson.Scott had four carries for 17 yards and a four-yard reception vs. the Bears. He had 20 carries for 73 yards (3.7 yards per carry) and 11 pass receptions this season.

No corresponding move was announced. Various reports on Twitter indicate that the Giants are likely to choose a replacement from a running back group that includes D.J. Ware, Peyton Hillis, Ryan Torain and Jeremy Wright. Hillis is the only one of that group who has not been with the Giants previously, meaning the other three have knowledge of the Giants' offense.

The Giants also terminated the practice squad contract of linebacker Darin Drakeford, who joined the squad a week ago.
