The New York Giants (0-6) open the week as 3-point favorites heading into their Monday Night Football match-up against the Minnesota Vikings (1-4) at the Meadowlands.

The Giants have struggled all season long with protection issues, lack of a running game, too many turnovers and not enough pressure from a defense that for the past several years has been known for its ability to rush the passer. They finally got their running game going in their last game against the Chicago Bears, getting more than 100 yards from Brandon Jacobs, but he hurt his hamstring in the game and is questionable for this week. The Vikings may have Adrian Peterson, but have struggled with issues at quarterback, starting Matt Cassel over Christian Ponder last week and signing Josh Freeman, who might start this week.
The Giants are coming off a 27-21 loss to the Bears in which quarterback Eli Manning threw another three interceptions to put him at a league-leading 15 interceptions. The Vikings got blown out at home, 35-10, to the Carolina Panthers.
The Big Blue View Power Rankings have both teams ranked near the bottom, with the Giants ranked at No. 30 and the Vikings ranked slightly ahead of them at No. 28. SB Nation's version of the rankings has the Giants ranked at the same spot at No. 30 but ranks the Vikings slightly higher at No. 25.
