Giants at Bears 2013 Week 6: PFF grades, snap counts

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Here is a brief look at the Pro Football focus grades and the snap counts from Thursday's New York Giants vs. Chicago Bears game.

PFF Grades

Offense

Best
Justin Pugh +3.9
Will Beatty +2.9
Jim Cordle +1.8
Bear Pascoe +1.7
Victor Cruz +1.6
Reuben Randle +1.6
Brandon Jacobs +1.2

Worst
Larry Donnell - 2.1
David Diehl - 2.1

Takeaways: Great to see some solid scores from the offensive line, which played much better. Pugh had +2.6 in run-blocking, a positive sign for the rookie right tackle.

Defense

Best
Mike Patterson +1.4
Spencer Paysinger +1.3

Worst
Antrel Rolle -2.8
Shaun Rogers -2.8
Prince Amukamara -2.3
Keith Rivers -1.9
Terrell Thomas -1.8
Jason Pierre-Paul -1.5

Takeaways: It's really distressing to see Pierre-Paul in negative numbers. He just isn't the same player post-back surgery.

Snap Counts

Offense
Player Pos. Snaps
Kevin Boothe G 54
Jim Cordle C 54
Justin Pugh T 54
David Diehl G 54
Will Beatty T 54
Eli Manning QB 54
Hakeem Nicks WR 52
Victor Cruz WR 50
Bear Pascoe TE 33
Brandon Jacobs RB 33
Brandon Myers TE 30
Reuben Randle WR 22
Da'Rel Scott RB 16
Larry Donnell TE 15
John Conner FB 15
Jerrel Jernigan WR 3
James Brewer G 1

Takeaways: That's not a lot of snaps for Conner, but the Giants did run the ball well with the fullback in the game. My personal belief is also that the Giants have to begin giving Donnell and Adrien Robinson (if he ever gets healthy) the majority of the playing time at tight end.

Defense
Player Pos. Snaps
Spencer Paysinger LB 68
Prince Amukamara CB 68
Antrel Rolle S 68
Jon Beason LB 63
Ryan Mundy S 62
Terrell Thomas CB 62
Jason Pierre-Paul DE 60
Justin Tuck DE 47
Will Hill S 40
Mathias Kiwanuka DE 39
Cullen Jenkins DT 38
Linval Joseph DT 34
Keith Rivers LB 28
Shaun Rogers DT 27
Mike Patterson DT 25
Johnathan Hankins DT 8
Mark Herzlich LB 6
Jacquian Williams LB 5

Takeaways: A little bit disappointing to see Johnathan Hankins get only eight snaps, but it is difficult because the veteran guys in front of him continue to play well.
