The 2012 NFL season is barely over, but the New York Giants are already building the roster they will bring to training camp in 2013. The Giants reportedly signed seven players to reserve/future contracts on Thursday, bringing the total of players they have added this one reserve/futures contracts to 13.

Added Thursday were: WR Brandon Collins, WR Kevin Hardy, G Michael Jasper, DB Trumaine McBride, LB Jake Muasau , QB Curtis Painter and DT Bobby Skinner.

Added earlier in the week were: OT Levy Adcock, DE Matt Broha, TE Larry Donnell, OG Stephen Goodin, OT Matt McCants, DB LaRon Scott. All six of these players spent part or all of the 2012 season as members of the Giants' practice squad. McCants was the giants' sixth-round draft choice in 2012.

There are some interesting names among the players signed Thursday.

Painter was a sixth-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2009 and has 11 games of NFL experience, including eight starts. Could he be insurance in case backup David Carr leaves via free agency. McBride was a seventh-round pick by the Chicago Bears in 2007 and has 48 games of NFL experience with the Bears, Arizona Cardinals and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Collins and Muasau were with the Giants in training camp last season. Skinner was signed last August and waived the same day. Jasper is a massive human being who is interesting because of this photograph.
