New, comments

Will tonight's game be the final Pro Bowl? It might be without a better showing from the players than they have given the past couple of seasons.

Four New York Giants will be part of the 43-man NFC roster Sunday night in the annual Pro Bowl game from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. Kickoff is 7 p.m. ET on NBC. Quarterback Eli Manning, wide receiver Victor Cruz, guard Chris Snee and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul will represent the Giants.

Cruz was named to the team originally, while Snee and Manning are replacing injured players. Cruz, Snee and Pierre-Paul are expected to start.

Much has been made of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell saying he has not been happy with the level of play in the Pro Bowl the past couple of years and threatening to discontinue the event. Will players play harder in the Pro Bowl? Probably some, but opinion on what kind of effort to expect seems split.

Twenty-two players originally scheduled to participate in the game are not playing -- 10 due to injury, and 12 because their teams are in the Super Bowl next week.
