The 2013 Super Bowl is a difficult one for New York Giants' fans to stomach. After all, a year ago at this time the Giants were preparing for what would ultimately be the fourth Super Bowl title in franchise history, and the second consecutive time they best the New England Patriots in a Super Bowl.
So, to give you something pleasant to think about let's take a stroll down memory lane. During the buildup to Super Bowl XLVII between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens we will look back at the four Super Bowls won by the Giants.
The first of those was, of course, Super Bowl XXI on Jan. 26, 1987, a 39-20 shellacking of the AFC champion Denver Broncos. That game still goes down as one of the best performances ever by a quarterback, with Phil Simms going 22-for-25 for 268 yards and three touchdowns. It was the first of Bill Parcells' two Super Bowl titles with the Giants.
Are you old enough to remember that game? If so, feel free to share what you remember.
