Good morning, New York Giants' fans! Here are your Thursday morning links, including a couple of items about the Giants and plenty of NFL news.
This is Insider content from Football Outsiders. Of Webster, they write:
It's been a long time since his name was in the bracket of elite cornerbacks, and it's because he failed to shut down receivers all year long. Teams don't fear throwing at him, as evidenced by the 988 yards he allowed in coverage (third highest of all cornerbacks), eight touchdowns he gave up (second highest) and 1.72 yards allowed per snap in coverage (seventh highest).
"He's not the player he once was, and he symbolizes a defense that lived on past reputation this year. Moving on from his huge cap hit would allow young players such as Jayron Hosley and Prince Amukamara to step up into bigger roles.
