Marc Ross will interview for the vacant general manager position with the San Diego Chargers, Mike Garafolo of USA Today reported earlier Wednesday.
Ross, the Giants Director of College Scouting, has now drawn interest from the Chargers, New York Jets and Carolina Panthers.
San Diego fired both general manager A.J. Smith and head coach Norv Turner following a disappointing 7-9 season, the third straight year in which the Chargers have missed the playoffs.
Bolts From The Blue, SB Nation's Chargers web site, is currently running a poll to find out who fans want as the next general manager. Ross isn't winning, but considering all the interest he has drawn thus far it seems like a pretty good possibility that Ross could end up elsewhere before long.
Ross's name first surfaced in connection with general manager openings a season ago, when he interviewed for openings with the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears.
