Giants Draft Results, Round 7: Eric Herman (OG/Ohio), Michael Cox (RB/UMass)

The New York Giants had two picks in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft on Saturday. They used their first pick (225th overall) on Eric Herman, an offensive guard from Ohio. They used their compensatory selection (253rd and the draft's second-to-last pick) on Michael Cox, a running back from Massachusetts.

Herman is a 6-foot-4, 320-pounder who was the 11th-ranked guard in the draft according to CBS Sports. He was second-team All-MAC each of the past two seasons. Herman said in a recent interview that he is "kind of a mauler." He did 36 reps of 225 pounds at the combine.

The Giants used their final pick on Cox a 6-foot-3, 214-pound running back who will compete with Da'Rel Scott and Ryan Torain for the final spot in the backfield.
