2013 NFL Draft Rumors: Tank Carradine interest picking up

Is it possible Cornellius 'Tank' Carradine, often mocked to the New York Giants, might not even be available when the Giants pick 19th in the 2013 NFL Draft on Thursday night?

Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network tweeted Monday that the New Orleans Saints, who draft 15th in the first round, "seem quite intrigued" by the 6-foot-4, 273-pound defensive end.

CSN Bay Area also speculated that the San Francisco 49ers might be targeting Carradine with the 31st pick should be still be on the board.

Carradine ran a 4.75 40-yard dash during his private Pro Day workout on Saturday, just 135 days removed from surgery to repair a torn ACL.

Defensive end, where the Giants lost Osi Umenyiora to the Atlanta Falcons in free agency and have veteran Justin Tuck in the final year of his contract, is one of several positions analysts think the Giants could try to upgrade during the draft later this week.
