What will the New York Giants do on Thursday night with the 19th overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft? We have been debating that for months, and neither the folks here at Big Blue View or NFL Draft analysts across the Internet have really formed a consensus.

Odds are, however, that no matter what the Giants choose to do with that pick they will end up with a good football player. Two years ago the Giants had the 19th overall pick and selected cornerback Prince Amukamara. After struggling with injuries as a rookie Amukamara became the team's best cornerback in 2012. The Giants also had the 19th overall pick in 1999 when they selected offensive tackle Luke Petitgout. Petitgout was never a star, but did start for the Giants for eight seasons.

Notable players selected 19th over the past 25 years include Hall of Fame offensive guard Randall McDaniel (1988, Minnesota Vikings), Marvin harrison (1996, Indianapolis Colts), Vonnie Holliday (1998, Green Bay Packers), Shaun Alexander (2000, Seattle Seahawks), Casey Hampton (2001, Pittsburgh Steelers), Antonio Cromartie (2006, San Diego Chargers), Jeremy Maclin (2009, Philadelphia Eagles) and Sean Weatherspoon (2010, Atlanta Falcons). That is quite a collection of talented

The chart below shows the complete list of players taken 19th over the past 25 years. With few exceptions, most of these players became quality long-term starters.
