When SB Nation this morning chose Kansas State linebacker Arthur Brown for the New York Giants with the 19th overall selection in its most recent 2013 NFL mock draft, I pretty much panned that decision. I called it an "odd choice" and said it "seems like way too high" for Brown to be chosen.
Well, through the magic of Twitter SB Nation draft guru Dan Kadar and I were able to discuss the choice today. The SBN draft was a shared one where Kadar and Matthew Fairburn alternated picks. Here is our conversation, which started with Kadar innocently tweeting that he wasn't too happy with his own selection.
New mock from @matthewfairburn and I: bit.ly/Z9PyT6 Feel good about Saints pick. Not so much NYG...

@bigblueview Nope, that was me.

@bigblueview We have Brown rated as a top-15 player. He's very good, fast, instinctive.

@mockingthedraft This is why the draft is such a crapshoot. Almost everybody else has him ranked MUCH lower than that. Interesting stuff.
