The 2013 Big Blue View Community Mock Draft will continue a bit later on Friday. Right now, though, let's check in on a couple of newly-released 2013 NFL Mock Drafts that factor in what has happened until now in NFL Free Agency.
Russ Lande of the National Football Post has a reputation among draftniks as being a bit of a wild card, with opinions often different from those of other draft analysts. Lande released version 8.0 of his 2013 NFL Mock Draft on Thursday. His selection for the New York Giants? Alabama offensive guard Chance Warmack. Here is Lande's explanation:
With Kevin Boothe a free agent and the Giants history of sticking to their draft board this pick makes too much sense. Warmack is likely to be the highest player on many team’s draft boards after the first five or six players are drafted, so he is a great value here.
Valentine's View: If Warmack is, indeed, still on the board this pick does make a ton of sense. Especially if Boothe does not return. Lande leaves Alabama right tackle D.J. Fluker, Kansas State linebacker Arthur Brown and Missouri defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson on the board while making this selection.
Warmack, incidentally, is the No. 3-rated player on the Big Blue View Big Board.

Round 2 (49th) -- Jamar Taylor, CB, Boise State
Round 3 (81st) -- Menelik Watson, ROT, Florida State
Round 4 (113th) -- Akeem Spence, DT, Illinois
Round 5 (145th) -- Cornelius Washington, DE, Georgia
Round 6 (177th) -- Marquise Goodwin, WR, Texas

Thoughts, Giants' fans?
