SB Nation NFL Draft analysts Dan Kadar and Matthew Fairburn have been consistently recently in connecting Florida State defensive end Tank Carradine to the New York Giants. In his latest 2013 NFL Mock Draft, released Monday morning, Kadar has done so again, selecting Carradine for the Giants with the 19th pick of the first round.
Kadar writes:
Carradine before Seminoles Bjoern Werner? Just watch Carradine explode up mock drafts after he holds his personal workout day next month. Ezekiel Ansah gets most of the Jason Pierre-Paul comparisons, but it's Carradine who may be the closest comparison.
Kadar leaves Notre Dame tight end Tyler Eifert and Kansas State linebacker Arthur Brown, another popular SB Nation choice for the Giants, on the board this time around. He also passes on Alabama right tackle D.J. Fluker, Georgia middle linebacker Alec Ogletree and Washington cornerback Desmond Trufant, among others.
NFL free agency, which officially begins Tuesday, will change the draft picture. Some of the shuffling of released players, like Cullen Jenkins signing with the Giants, has already begun that process.
