Rookie quarterback Ryan Nassib has been, predictably, erratic during his first two weeks of training camp with the New York Giants. The fourth-round pick will see the first game action of his NFL career Saturday when the Giants face the Pittsburgh Steelers in their preseason opener.
Nassib said he doesn't know how much he will play on Saturday.
"Coming into a new offense and trying to learn a whole new system there's different struggles every day," Nassib said , calling Kevin Gilbride's playbook "complex, but learnable."
"I knew the Giants had a very sophisticated offense," said Nassib. "That's why they are so good. The guys who have been playing know what they're doing and they've got answers for everything."
Nassib is in a good situation with veterans Eli Manning, David Carr and Curtis Painter to learn from.
"They've been extremely helpful," Nassib said. "They were rookies at one point and they had to go through the same thing."
Injury Notes
No word on whether or not Justin Tuck, who missed Wednesday's practice with a tight back, will practice today. Use this as your open thread for the afternoon practice.
