Chris Snee and Terrell Thomas will come off the PUP list and join the New York Giants for practice Tuesday afternoon at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center, GM Jerry Reese said Tuesday morning on WFAN.
Snee, the starting right guard, is coming back from offseason hip surgery and had said recently that he thought he was close to returning. Thomas, who has missed the last two seasons with ACL injuries, is trying to come back from his third ACL surgery on the same knee. The Giants have been anxious to see what Thomas can do on the field.
Remaining on the PUP list are Jason Pierre-Paul (back), Henry Hynoski (knee) and Markus Kuhn (knee). GM Jerry Reese said that Pierre-Paul is "on schedule."
“JP’s on schedule. He’s looking good, he’s running around a little bit. He’s going to be out on the field a little more than usual as we move along. We expect him to hopefully be back, ready to go for the (Week 1) Dallas game," he said.
In other injury news, wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is expected to practice today.
The Giants will practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. They will be off on Friday as they travel to face the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field in their first preseason game.
