Q: The offense couldn’t get into a rhythm tonight?
A: Yea, I thought we were just a little bit off, a little bit sloppy and there’s a lot of things that we could’ve done better and I think we’re just off one beat all over. Whether it’s blocking or routes, finishing plays and… I mean the good thing about that os everything that went wrong are things we can work on. It’s not like we don’t have the players or we don’t have the athletes to make the plays. It’s a lot of things that we can work on and we’ve just got to get it down where we just flow and we don’t look so sloppy.

Q: How were your emotions going into this game?

A: It’s more about the opening day for the New York Giants for me. It’s a chance for me to start off the right way with this team and show my teammates that all the hard work that we’ve been doing in the offseason is for a reason. I’m here to go hard every day for the New York Giants, so I was pretty emotional going into the game anyway. Playing against the Cowboys was just icing on the cake. The outcome wasn’t one that we wanted, but it’s a lot of things we can work on and it’s a long season.

Q: It looked like the team struggled to run the ball to start this game. What was happening on the line of scrimmage?
A: I just think we didn’t get a lot of movement. Those guys get paid up front over there and they got a lot of high paid guys on the other end and the good thing is our offensive line fought their ass off and we just weren’t able to open up big enough holes or get the right reads on the run, so it’s a collective thing. It’s on the offensive line, the tight ends, the receivers and the running backs. It’s something that we can continue to work on.

Q: It appeared you were held on a few routes out there. How do you shake that off?

A: It’s just one of those things. I thought the refs did the best they could do. I feel like they missed some calls, but it happens no matter who’s refing the game. Honestly, I feel like I’m getting held every single play. They got away with a couple of things and I just kept fighting and kept fighting trying to get open for Eli.
