Coach Tom Coughlin said Nicks sat out because he was "sore." Coughlin cornerback Jayron Hosley "seems to be doing well. He seems to be a guy that is anxious to play and is willing to put up with some discomfort in order to do that."
Coughlin also announced that offensive tackle D.J. Jones, claimed on waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday, failed his physical and will not be added to the roster. That means the Giants currently have 52 players on the active roster.
