Good morning, New York Giants fans! Here is your Monday morning notebook.
It sounds like Terrell Thomas is meeting with Dr. James Andrews today, at least if you go by what Thomas said Sunday night on Twitter.

Ahmad Bradshaw of New York Giants beginning to take on leadership role with offense now that Brandon Jacobs has left - NYPOST.com
Justin Tuck didn’t fully emerge as a player and a Giants leader until after Michael Strahan retired. Can a similar metamorphosis be taking place with Ahmad Bradshaw now that Brandon Jacobs is no longer on the scene?
"It’s probably a good analogy,’’ Tuck said yesterday. "I never had Ahmad without Jacobs so I don’t know what the real Ahmad is in that light. I know he probably has the biggest heart of anybody on this football team and we know what to expect from him when he steps on the football field, banged up or not. We didn’t necessarily need him to say anything, we didn’t necessarily need him to be vocal.
"You can just see it’s kind of like a weight lifted. I know him and Brandon are great friendsand he loves Brandon and Brandon loves him, but you can just tell it’s a weight lifted where he can kind of take on that spotlight a little bit now.’’
Marvin Austin, New York Giants defensive tackle, has new haircut and new attitude at training camp - NYPOST.com
You tell Marvin Austin you almost didn’t recognize him, and he responds with a boyish smile and a knowing nod.
"The dreads,’’ he says.
The newly-shorn Austin has a bag in which he saved the piles of dreadlocks that tumbled from his head for the past 13 years — more than half of the lifetime of the 23-year-old defensive tackle who is literally trying to put a new face on a stalled career.
"It’s a new beginning for me, a new opportunity,’’ said Austin.

Devin Thomas Retirement | Sulia
Remember when Devin Thomas suffered that scary neck injury in December? Left an impression on him: "I’m at a good age where I’m still healthy. I had my own injuries that I can account to, when I almost thought I broke my neck, concussions. Everybody glorifies this game, says it’s so great. It’s definitely something people put you on a plateau. But they don’t understand the sacrifices you make personally. As a young man that understands the bigger picture, I know this game doesn’t define me."
