New York Giants Afternoon Practice Notes

New, comments

A few notes from New York Giants practice today, courtesy of head coach Tom Coughlin's daily press briefing.

- Offensive tackle Will Beatty practiced. Tyler Sash (ankle) and James Brewer did not. Brewer went to the Hospital for Special Surgery to have an MRI, and Coughlin did not want to discuss whether it was for his back or something else. Justin Tuck also went to HSS for an MRI on his shoulder, something Coughlin called "precautonary."

Coughlin, who hates answering these questions, said "I think we hired a bus to take everyone."

That's funny, coming from TC. But, it really isn't funny at all.

- Of placing defensive tackle Chris Canty on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, coughlin said "we sort of expected that to be the case."

- Coughlin said that he expects wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (foot) to play some Wednesday against the New England Patriots provided ne came through Monday's practice OK.
